Automated Solutions provided a custom integrated Control4 system that centralized heating, lighting, music, security camera and intercom systems thought out our property including the detached guest quarters. Additionally, they installed a movable master control rack with all the various stereo, receiver, cable and other audio/video systems.
The follow-on service provided by the company is outstanding both in the timeliness of response and the professionalism of service. Mark is patient in explaining the operation of the installations with individuals like me who are not IT savvy. Mark from Automated Solutions installed a Control4 / Sonos AV system in our home. When we were planning a large remodel, we wanted to incorporate a new and better AV system that would consolidate the equipment into a storage rack with a clean modern design, allow everything to be controlled from one device/application, and perform with the highest standards. The prewire included conduits so that wires could be distributed more easily to each location and replaced if needed due to an unforeseen problem, system expansion or technology upgrades (excluding software and firmware updates which are done wirelessly). Many products are now wireless but the feasibility of wireless depends on the power of the system and size of the home. Therefore, while the volume of wires has decreased across the board with time, some types of wires are still highly relevant in modern upscale AV systems. The system we installed has the ability to grow with advances in technology which is important to me as I expect things to evolve and did not want worry about what the next wave of products would mean for the system I already invested in. Mark was very professional and we spent a lot of time discussing options and how they would be used day-to-day. The hardest decision was choosing from among the systems available and marketed by other AV companies. I met with several AV contractors and tried to get a feel for what similar homes were using and the cost involved. I use the products Mark installed almost everyday and I know I made the right decision hiring Automated Solutions. One of the things I like about Mark is that he's always testing new products that come to market in order to give his customers the best options available. Mark stays current, takes pride in his work, loves what he does, and he'll give you his honest opinion about something that just came out or is expected to and whether you should have it. When he's onsite he is very organized, takes the time to protect surfaces, wears booties, and avoids a lot of unnecessary problems that tend to occur when work is being done in a finished home. Our construction went on much longer than expected, pushing back Mark's completion date (not his fault). We had construction fatigue by the time Mark came back to complete the final phase. However, it was worth the wait and we enjoy listening to music through the home and garage, watching satellite, and streaming video content on Netflix etc. using Apple TV. I really like the system and plan on adding flatscreens to other bedrooms where we prewired as well as incorporating some lighting, remote access, and security abilities.
Being able to use my iPhone to control everything is really convenient. If my phone isn't nearby I have the wall mounted screens on each floor as backup. It's easy to adjust the volume, turn on/off zones, control the heating/cooling, and listen to music, news, etc. I really like the in-wall subwoofers and sound bar for the 4K TV. It's definitely worth it to have at least one room with enhanced surround sound for movies. We don't have a dedicated theater with custom seating like some homes Mark does but one of the rooms has enhanced surround sound and it's very enjoyable. I'm glad we did that.
Products and installation were great. No one better than Mark. Our only glitches have been with the cable company supplied box. Mark has been available at all times, including Super Bowl Sunday, to reboot and get us back online. Great service after sale. Highly recommend Automated Solutions.
We recently purchased a much larger home that was network capable. However, I needed someone who could figure out the equipment that was installed by the previous owner, get the network up and running, install Sonos and ensure I had seamless internet access (LAN and Wireless) throughout my home.
Mark came in and spent time understanding our needs, then went to work in a very efficient way. In just a few short hours, my entire Lan Network was live (needed junction work and lots of crimping, switches installed and rework due to builder wiring mistakes). He also installed Sonos, access points and connected all of our smart TV's and devices. In addition he setup my surround for my TV's and recommended the path ahead for future smart home capabilities.
Given the size of the estate, any company could have spent days and charged Thousands for this type of work. Mark comes in and in a few short hours, everything was in "play".

Automated Solutions (AS) provided a Home Automation System including Lighting Controls, Security Camera System, an Audio System and an automated window shade system. This Home Automation System was part of an extensive whole house renovation. This required that AS coordinate closely with the General Contractor and several subcontractors.
AS did a great job of coordination, being available when they needed to be on the job to perform their work to allow others to proceed with their work. They also provided and continue to provide creative solutions whenever issues develop.
