A passion for live music and quality sound reproduction for the home market was the spark for Automated Solutions to be created in 1985. At that time, only quad speaker arrangements and in-wall volume controls were available, but the industry soon grew to include in-wall speakers and outdoor rock shaped speakers.
With industry advancement, Automated Solutions grew in knowledge, experience and reputation. Contractors, architects and homeowners started requesting automation of television, satellite, video surveillance, audio video distribution, computer networks and complete home automation from one interface. Automated Solutions answered their requests and became a trusted contractor that homeowners and professionals alike can count on. We deeply understand the difference between a poorly designed system and a properly designed system. A properly designed system would have consistency in regard to user interface, brand selection and overall system functions. We select products to be used in our designs on several facets; Manufacturer solidity, build quality, features & benefits, tech support availability, product warranty and a fair price. If all of these facets are not met, we won't specify the product into our design no matter how cool it looks.
We keep up to date with technology by attending over 600 hours of continued education each year by manufacturer and trade trainings. We are a proud member since the year 2000 of CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association). CEDIA sets our industry standards and works with manufactures to keep our trade educated by offering University credited trainings. We spend one full week each year at the CEDIA Expo in the Mid-West immersing ourselves in new products and installation methods coming to market. Our lead designer and founder Mark McCormack holds a CEDIA systems designer certification (equivalent to a master’s degree in home automation). We also hold advanced certifications in lighting control and computer networking. We are a licensed, bonded and insured California State Contractor dedicated and experienced in our craft.
